‘Hum do Humare do’
Is the description enough…
What if ‘Humare do’ are girls…
It’s a never ending process… the sky is pink if there are 2 sisters and if brothers….it is blue….
Peeping In my neighbourhood, a lady was blessed with 2 daughters … the sky seemed pink …and her family was complete.
But, somewhere the desire of having another gender child was not fulfilled.
After a lap of time , she discovered on her missing menstrual cycle and discovered her pregnancy yet again. She made her mind to get it aborted, as after 15 years of gap it’s a lot more uncomfortable.
People around her, including her family suggested her… what if the baby is a boy? You should talk to doctor … may be she can help… or guide you. Thoughts in her mind… She talked to doctor and thought of giving a chance. She went to abroad for her tests and discovered , was blessed with the boy. Which gave her, enthusiasm to persue… her delivery.
The sky was blue again…gap between her child disappeared… the womb became a blessing… she was ready to take steps on the risk of her life.
Foreseeable…
What if in womb was a girl? the age gap.. life risks… everything might have increased…All of a sudden… I am not against the desire of boy child, but still in today’s world…There are thoughts to raise 3 girl child, rather than 3 boys…
Both boy and girl are equally important in a family to be complete. But cleaning the womb… for the desire of another.
We are teaching the other people… we call them rural… but living in the urban cities…and having such thought is still killing, a womb each day.
Gender inequality is ancient problem of our country. It is still on.I think Govt. and we all should take steps against discrimination, humiliation and oppression..
I absolutely resonate that the desire for a male baby is prevalent predominantly however educated or modern we may be! This is the harsh reality, especially in the Indian scenario.
Beautifully written … but how can we change the whole society thinking…but killing the womb is not acceptable
Amazing ?
Beautifully pen down
Society is not going to raise our children
We have to accept with pride our children without discrimination p
Every mother having first girl child has gone through dis….very difficult n pressurising phase.. can’t ever change dis scenario in “INDIA”… never !!!!
Fact of life
Amazing… ?
In india, unlike any western culture, strong preferences for sons overs daughters exists.
This is major social problem here.
This mindset should be changed.
Beautifully penned down …?
