Travelling, Befalling for new countries around the world is everybody’s covet.
But to me…a life turner.
Somewhere …During End of Spring… Along with the fine dining…
.. Around the table with the exotic food served by mother and brother right next to me…. Relished conversation about vacation to Maldives began, which made us wishful thinker of the heavenly island.
Sudden interrupt of a voice….
‘Pass the spoon, ‘said Mr. Perfect.
While passing over, I couldn’t combat myself from being a stargazer.
In between,
Mother came inside the room with a bowl of pudding …to serve her son in law (Yes, Mr. Perfect’s favorite)
While going back towards the kitchen…
Mother over heard the dreamy conversation…
And interrupted by saying, “Why don’t you go to Chaar dham Yatra?”
Everyone started laughing and giggling around …with the laughing blankets on themselves…
Without any change in her notions…
Mother repeated her words and added, ‘I am serious.’
For a brief moment…
Silence manifested in the room..
Brother actively replied, ‘This is not the age to go to dhams, Mom! We will do it, when we will be older. ‘
Vulnerably Conversation began again…
Mother whispered while going down her memory lane….
‘When we were young, we always enjoyed visiting those places with our parents. Those childhood memories and energy of climbing the mountains in a fraction of second….can’t be back.
And yes, if you think you will be energized in your elder age…Why don’t you leave your fun destinations around the world for elder age and do char dhams now in your young age or do both alternatively.’
It made everyone silent and thoughtful…
And the words clicked deep inside every one of us…
Hmmm…
…Mr. Perfect interrupted…’ Mom! We go to temple every day then, why dhams for now? ‘
Mother smiled and replied in humble words, “Who is waiting for you at these destinations…perhaps, no one! And why does every one of you think that it’s easy to visit the one who brought you in this world?
Only the fortunate ones, who are on his guest list, can pay him a visit at his hometown.
Not everyone…
With a sigh of breathe….
Continuing…
But, question is still there …Why?
In older age, life comes across five D’s: Decreasing, Decaying, Depending, Demanding and Delaying.
Yeah….Let’s think about it ….in simple words…
“If your body is of no use to you then, what’s for him?”
(Jab tumhara sharir tumhare kissi kaam ka nahi, to uske kis kaam ka)
Once again, Silence gasped the room…
Everyone was speechless…
And couldn’t stop themselves from rethinking about the esoteric words said by Mother.
Does that make you wish to be on God’s Guest List?
